The eldorado biarritz was the most glamorous cadillac model available in 1956. Power windows, steering and brakes. The electric 6-way leather covered seat,sewn with french seams and padded bolsters accenting the cadillac "v" with thechromed cadillac crest. A special carpet reserved for the eldorado modelsincluded the aluminum-ribbed rubber floor pads. This eldorado has the gold trimpackage that includes the sabre wheels, grill insert and emblems. One repaint inblack was done more than 20 years ago. The leather interior has been replaced bycorrect grain glove-soft leather in the correct trim and style. The carpet wasalso replaced with correct style carpet. The power trunk works fine and containsthe original "hard-boot" set of three pieces with individual storage bags. Apleasure to drive and dependable in all road conditions. An electric cooling fanhas been added for parade use or heavy stop and go traffic. To help keep powerto the electric fan, a heavy duty alternator has been added. There is a hi-endstereo system with controls in the glovebox so as to keep the interior inoriginal appearance. For the 1978 eldorado model year only, 2,000 eldorado custom biarritz classics were produced in two-tone arizona beige/demitasse brown consisting of 1,499 with no astroroofs or no sunroofs; 475 with astroroofs; 25 with sunroofs and one (1) was produced with a power sliding t-top. Only nine of the latter are known to have been retrofitted by the american sunroof company under the direction of general motors' cadillac motor division. This belongs in a museum!!
