Worldwide vintage autos is pleased to present this 1973 ford bronco sport. These first generation broncos are hot! Hard to find like this. the forward looking collector will note that classic trucks are just getting started - and there are plenty of underpublicized specimens out there autoweek magazine february 2016. History in 1973, the 170 was replaced by a 200cuin (3. 3l) straight six, power steering and automatic transmissions were made optional, and sales spiked to 26,300. By then, however, blazer sales were double those of the bronco, and international harvester had seen the light and come out with thescout iithat was more in the blazer class. By 1974, the larger and more comfortable vehicles such as thejeep cherokee (sj)made more sense for the average driver than the more rustically oriented bronco. The low sales of the bronco (230,800 over twelve years) did not allow a large budget for upgrades, and it remained basically unchanged until the advent of the larger, more blazer-like second generation-bronco in 1978. Production of the original model fell (14,546 units) in its last year, 1977. Approximately 64k miles. -automatic c4 transmission. -factory power steering. -power brakes. -4x4 with new gearing. -twin shift setup. -new exhaust. disclosure -paint and bodywork are driver quality. History torino wagons grew much larger in 1972. Length increased by 2-inch (51 mm) for torino models, and 6-inch (152 mm) for gran torinos. Wheelbase was up by 4-inch (102 mm), width increased by 3-inch (76 mm), and weight increased significantly. Station wagons had a rated capacity of 83. 5 cu ft (2,364 l), nearing the capacity of some full-size wagons. An available rear-facing third seat was available, increasing the wagon's capacity from 6 to 8 passengers. All station wagons had the 3-way "magic doorgate" featuring for the first time a tailgate that could be opened as a door with the rear window up. A heavy-duty frame was standard equipment for all wagons. The squire models came standard with a luggage rack and simulated woodgrain panels that were slightly translucent, allowing some of the paint tint to show through.
